I’m delighted to have just found out that one of the images from our Antarctic trip earlier this year has just been awarded “Best Wildlife Behaviour” in the annual Aurora Expeditions Antarctic Photography Competition. Every time I look at these images it reminds me of the fantastic adventure we had and the wonderful people that we met during our voyage. We were so lucky on so many levels, it really was the trip of a lifetime. There are a few more of these images on the Gallery pages.
A week after the Association Cup (see images with the blog post before this one) I was out again to get some shots of the Club Marine race. This time there was some big-boat action to capture.

There were a couple of days last season when Sierra Chainsaw wasn’t racing. So if you can’t beat them and you can’t join them you may as well shoot them! I took a spin out on the crash boat to capture some of the action. Here are some images from The Association Cup.
Ever tire of the celebrities on the front covers of womens’ magazines who all look so perfect? Surely we are not meant to aspire to look like that? Everyone knows they’ve had a little helping hand, right? Well, maybe not everyone. As a regular user of Photoshop I like the sense of humour in this video clip. We had a fabulous time during our trip to Antarctica. Loads of penguins, seals, sea lions, leopard seals, whales, albatross, snow petrels……..you name. It’s just such a special place to go.
